“Jesus answered, ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me” John 9:3-4
Jesus was the true epitome of compassion. He was more interested in helping the man born blind than trying to figure out how he became blind or who deserved blindness.
It is so refreshing to know that Christ is more interested in making visible the glory of God than to sit down and figure out whose blame it is for all the bad things of this earth.
Christ is the same way with us. He is more interested in having a relationship with us and helping reveal the Glory of God to others than to sit and count every mistake and sin we commit. If he did that, nothing would get done. Even Luther recognized this when he said that the amount of sin he had committed would force him to crumble to the ground by the gravity and weight of its sinfulness.
Allow yourself to make the Glory of God present to others and by being focused on the gifts of God and the Will of God. Do let the your sinful self distract you from accomplishing the Will of God.
